I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Law from Government Law College, Bombay and master’s degree in Law from the University of Bombay and admitted as an Advocate at the Bar Council of Delhi in India. I have worked with Dua Associates, Advocates & Solicitors  in their New Delhi office in the areas of business & commercial laws with an emphasis on advising foreign companies to establish a presence in India. The University Institute of European Studies granted me fellowship to study the Post-Graduate course in International Trade Law in Turin, Italy during the year 1994. 

I came to England to study law at the College of Law as a recipient of the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship granted by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, through the British Council followed by qualifying as a Solicitor at Allen & Overy, London. The International Chamber of Commerce, Paris, France  bestowed the Gaudet Bursary Scholarship to me in 1996. I was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1998. I was awarded scholarship by the Academy of American and International Law to study American & International laws in Dallas, Texas, USA  in 1999.

I qualified as a Notary Public in 2004 after successfully completing the Notarial Studies at the University of Cambridge. The Archbishop of Canterbury through the Faculty Office appointed me to practice as a Notary Public in England and Wales. Prior to qualifying as a Notary Public, I have also worked with Eversheds where I was leading the firm's “India Desk” nationally. I am also registered as a Solicitor in Dublin, Ireland.

I was Tutor and Examiner at the Post-Graduate course in Notarial Practice at the University of Cambridge for a period of 5 years.  I now teach  the second year of the Notarial Practice Course at University College London which is compulsory for those to be admitted as a notary in England and Wales and Gibraltar. 

I am bilingual and as an interpreter (former member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting) I help my clients in Notarial Practice. I am the author of the books entitled “The Notary’s Manual” and “Notarial Practice (India)”. I am a former member of the Advisory & Qualifications Boards of the Master of the Faculties of the Archbishop of Canterbury which regulates the notarial profession in England and Wales. I was appointed as a Notarial Inspector by the Faculty Office during July 2021.

I am the co-founder and partner in Notary Training which provides accredited and  continuing professional education training for qualified Notaries in England and Wales. I have written and lectured extensively on notarial issues and have also authored numerous articles published by the Notaries Society of England and Wales.

I was granted the Freedom of the City of London during July 2007.
